actionscript 3 - "Flex users will need to download the original AIR SDK without the new compiler."? -

i confused upgrading air use flex 4.6 (i using 4.6 because "design mode" isn't supported in flash build later versions).

i overlaid air 19 on copy of flex 4.6 sdk. projects fine others not. example <mx:alert/> not supported (apparently) in air 19 default , resolved linking mx.swf

in project finding <s:constraintrow/> not supported. searching around found question: could not resolve <s:sequence> component implementation after adding air 3.6

so, ok – see note missed before on air 19 page: "flex users need download original air sdk without new compiler."

my questions:

• what "original" air sdk? version that? poor wording , means "the latest air without compiler 2.0" or flex deadended air upgrades?
• what deal air version numbers? see both "air 19" , "air 3.4" etc. seems 2 different numbering schemes.

ok – i think have answered @ least 1 of questions.

it seems term "original" in adobe comment means "latest air release without compiler 2.0"* able download "original" version of air listed on page , overlay on flex 4.6 without project errors resulting.
